Dear fans:
I just wanted to share some of the impressive visuals from the set of "Zone of the Dead" I'm having a great time and working with a wonderful group of talented people both in front of and behind the camera. Belgrade is an interesting city, I've just gotten in from my first chance exploring the night life here and I must say it's very impressive. Well it's back to work tomorrow (this being my day off) but I'll try to keep you informed about the shoot and how it's going. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

DEAD-BONES crew shout out!

God has blessed me with an opportunity to shoot a film at the same location that Sergio Leone had shot all his westerns; where David Leane shot "Lawrence of Arabia"; where the Magnificent Seven was shot. It was dry and hot and one day we had to shoot in a sand storm. I had a chance to work with a good friend who produced it and a director whom I enjoyed very much. I want to publicly thank the crew who were very professional and, that in turn, made it easy for the creative process to flow. Some of them had never worked on a film before while others had worked on many. It was a wonderful experience and I'll always fondly remember them. Thank you to everyone involved.

Hello to my dear friends in Japan. I thought I would list your names for the fans around the world and say thank you for showing me a great time while I toured your wonderful country. I must admit that I ate and drank far too much: I must have gained 10 pounds. The next time I come, Yuko will have to run interference so that I don't eat my way from one end of the country to the other. So, to all the horror fans, here are your comrades from Japan.

Ken Foree Joins El Superbeasto Cast
Friday, March 28, 2008
By: Ryan Ball

Actor Ken Foree, well-known by horror fans for his roles in George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead and Rob Zombie’s Halloween, has been added to the voice cast of Zombie’s long-gestating animated feature The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. Based on the rocker-turned-filmmaker’s Spookshow International comic-book series, the direct-to-video feature is being distributed by Starz Media’s Anchor Bay. A street date has not been announced yet.
The Haunted World of El Superbeasto will follow the adventures of an over-the-hill masked wrestler who now fights crime as a secret agent. El Superbeasto has more interest in strippers than adventure, but still manages to get involved with murdering super-intelligent gorillas, Liverpudlian zombies and manic depressive, mad scientist Dr. Satan, voiced by Oscar-nominated actor Paul Giamatti. The voice cast also includes scream queen Sheri Moon Zombie (Devil’s Rejects, House of 1,000 Corpses) as Suzie X, El Superbeasto’s sexy super-spy sister, stand-up comedian Tom Papa (The Life Coach, Analyze That) as El Superbeasto and Brian Posehn (The Sarah Silverman Program, Just Shoot Me) as a robot named Murray.
Foree also joins fellow horror icons Sid Haig, who will also reprise the role of Captain Spaulding from House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, and Cassandra Peterson, best known as buxom fright flick host Elvira. Another one of Zombie’s favorite actors, Bill Moseley, will lend his voice to the animated version of his Otis Driftwood character from Corpses and Rejects.
Zombie wrote the story for El Superbeasto and is serving as exec producer. Starz Media’s Film Roman, the studio behind The Simpsons and other hit shows, is doing the animation.

ZONE OF THE DEAD
This is an upcoming film that Ken has told me, he just may be a big part of , not a whole lot of info as of yet, but I also got a tad bit of info involving Rob Zombie HALLOWEEN co-star, Kristina Klebe may also be par-taking in this film...
Straight out of Serbia comes their first zombie flick, Zone of the Dead. By the looks of it, they are already planning for two sequels, the last of which, Reign of the dead, sounds like it will be post apocalyptic! The trailer is pretty awesome, and here's the synopsis:
"In the industrial town of Pančevo a dangerous biochemical toxine becomes airborne in the middle of the night, poisoning the inhabitants. The infection spreads all over the town and it seems like the Armageddon is happening.
Meanwhile, a police-escorted prisoner transport supervised by Interpol sets off to Belgrade. A seemingly routine assignment escalates into a hellish fight for survival. The route leads the transport through Pančevo, where they encounter an ecological disaster and infected people who are trying to kill them. Interpol agent Mortimer Reyes soon realizes that their only chance for escape from the zombie hordes lies in allying with the dangerous, mysterious prisoner."
